Region in brief

The Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay provides health and social services for the Cree Lands of James Bay (region 18). The population is essentially concentrated in 9 communities: Waskaganish, Eastmain, Wiemindji, Chisasibi, Whapmagoostui, Waswanipi, Ouje-Bougoumou and Mistissini.
The Occupational Health Public Health Department offers its expertise to support companies, employers and employees in preventive programs to ensure that workplaces are healthy workplaces!
These include the Safe Motherhood program, psychosocial risk prevention, site visits, measurement and analysis of contaminants such as CO, molds, etc.
